He probably had the traction off. Silly fool, it looks quite wet.

The Evos have computers controlling every single bloody thing with the car, if you sneeze it'll compensate and do some crazy calculation to do something or other.

Re: Porsche nearly crashes

Its very hard to get a 911 to step back in line nicely. All the weight is in the arse, so it has a lot of momentum that needs reigning in when it starts to jackknife like that.. A bit of left lock and more power and he would have looked awesome, one thing you can't do in a FWD with or without Q2.. Other than just throwing it into the corner and yanking the handbrake of course

I was talking about putting the car sideways and keeping it sideways while travelling in a straight line. My car likes to go sideways sometimes too, but it won't look half as good as a proper powerslide.

Re: Porsche nearly crashes

Did you see the other one on that site "Brutal Porsche Crash". The guy clearly didn't get out. He must have been toasted. Horrible.

Porsche have spent the last 3 decades engineering 911's to perfection, honing them, manipulating them. Crafting the chassis to cope in all conditions, to handle ever increasing amounts of power. The 911 is their baby, the one the engineers go home and think about when they should be spending time with their families.
They have taken a flawed design, and stubbornly spent 30 years building and rebuilding a car that works around the engine position, refusing to admit that they were actually wrong to put it there in the first place.

How very German

btw i LOVE 911's, really. A GT3 RS would be top of my lottery win shopping list. Well, just below the half dozen or so bikes that I'm currently drooling over piccies of

Daddy didn't give attention,

To the fact that mommy didn't care

King Jeremy the wicked

Ruled his world
