Ferrari California

Found this on Top Gear website yesterday.

Ferrari California

No body I played it to could guess it was a Ferrari. Certainly doesnt have as much of a distinct sound to it. Still nice though

And here's a piccy

According to some people its a V8 kicking out around 450bhp but they are only having an educated guess. Will find out at Paris show apparently.

Re: Ferrari GT

It does Matt because ... it's based on a Maserati GranTurismo platform

After a few Maseratis with Ferrari engines, this is the first true "Maserati" Ferrari

Re: Ferrari GT

I don;t think that is a bad thing, just should have been a bit different, in particular the front 3/4 stance, it could be the same car?
On the other hand the Granturismo is one of my favorite cars, I drove one for a weekend a while back and it is awesome!!

Re: Ferrari GT

I agree, it's no bad thing. However, there is a little resentment on the maserti forum that Ferrari essentially took over the GT platform for a car that could have easily been a Maserati.

PS: How did you bag the GranTurismo for the weekend? Extended test drive?

Re: Ferrari GT

I know but hadn't thought of it ...

The Maserati dealers's salesguys here all recently went on a weekend trackday event for them to get up to speed on the way the GranTurismo drives.

Ah, the life of a luxury car salesperson

Re: Ferrari GT

As long as it's anonymous, I don't see why not. Way Of Topic is probably the best place for it
