Seriously though, from a technical perspective a GT-R would be an interesting thing to play with for a while. I wouldn't want one long term though, I couldn't see me wanting to keep a GT-R as long as I have the GTA despite the huge performance.

When you have performance like that, you don't need soul.

I have to agree with the general sentiment on here - just buy it! I think they're an awesome bit of kit. Bummer about the 180kmh thing, must be like hitting a brick wall if you're accelerating all the way there - then nothing. Buy it there, then get it shipped here for a nice profit.

Isn't there some loophole that allows people to import Jap cars into Ireland, then into the UK on the "ZZ" plates - avoids paying import duty or something.

Nice car...if you can afford to run it. Servicing is every 10 miles and the fuel economy is even less than that. Does go like poo off a shovel and the limiters are almost always electronic and easy and cheap to bypass. But why would you want to go at lightspeed on our roads? even 180kph is enough to lose you your license. It is a nice car though and i can see the temptation.

Re: Please stop me before it's too late!

Well, roads here are for the most part pretty nice to drive on though quite crowded at times.

Re: Please stop me before it's too late!

how fast or slow is 180km/h in proper money anyway?

id say go for it, ok its not a looker, and probebly has the soul and character of a £9.99 tescos toaster, but you cant argue with the way it goes.
