Hangten,
You're kidding, right?
I'm all for the VR6 engine (which i don't think is quite as special as people reckon, but is ok-ish) making its way into a MK2 Golf, all stealth like.
But that Giant Satsuma is so not a good look, bud...

Re: I know it's not an Alfa - what do you think?
The max power look doesn't do it for me I am afraid.
I am not sure what it cost to build but I don't think spending thousands of pounds tarting up an old golf is very bright. Sorry.
Think of all the newer, better cars the money could have bought.

Check out the dashboard. It looks like it was taken from one of those coin operated kids cars you see outside a supermarket.

No matter how much work has gone into it, if I saw that coming down the street I would point and laugh. Sorry.

this car is porno man.. pug 306/toyota conquest looking front end, inexplicably strange read end.. and the sides... oh my goodness, sad... sad... sad...!! Wonder how much body putty they used to make this...very strange
Why did'nt he just buy a stock 145 and drop in a 147 GTA engine and gearbox.. and some 18" multispoke GT wheels with 330mm GTA brakes and 4 piston calipers... much nicer and more pimpin''..!!

Re: I know it's not an Alfa - what do you think?
in the last picture, they seem to have made it look like an astra.
Cant imagine why they havent used it much, probably even they chavs were laughing at it when it bounced suspension less down the road.

Re: I know it's not an Alfa - what do you think?
My son who has a Mk 2 showed me this the other day. What is the point in modding a car so much you can't tell what it was in the first place!?!
crazy!

Re: I know it's not an Alfa - what do you think?
There is a phrase some French use
as a put down for such "projects":
"Voiture de Casimir"
Casimir is a kids show where
some bloke dressed up as a bright
orange dragon thing.
CASIMIRLAND.COM, Site Officiel de CASIMIR
Very appropriate for this one
methinks.

Re: I know it's not an Alfa - what do you think?
Sorry, not the car for me. I like a bit of stylish modding but hate it when people go too far and this one is way too far.
Also, when these kits have been fitted and ragged around they invariably start to look shabby and ill fitting.
Not my cup of tea although I do love the golf. Missus has the Mk3 GTi 8v. It's a sweet motor and if looked after, can actually gain value!

Re: I know it's not an Alfa - what do you think?
Really doesn't do it for me, maybe he's never run it because if the engine ever got up to temperature all that extra paint in there could catch on fire, just one to be trailered between custom shows I reckon.

Re: I know it's not an Alfa - what do you think?
LoL
That is a seriously ugly car. If a mate of mine bought that I would disown him. I have never unstood the need to make yourself look like a prat. Who here would think "yer i look good" as they drive to their local Tesco's in something like that? Buy one of those and you deserve to be the scurge of society. Give it an ASBO and keep it off the streets.
