Boxing The "Others Breakdown" Image Gallery

Reading about Hunter's Mercedes' misfortunes and the usual barbs from Audi drivers about Alfa reliability prompted this.

I saw an 02-reg BMW on the hard shoulder today but didn't think to get a pic on my phone.

So, if you see another marque stranded and bust by the roadside, especially newer models of the German persuasion try and get a pic and post it here!

Let's revel in a a bit of schadenfreude

Re: The "Others Breakdown" Image Gallery

Two days ago I saw right outside my office a Porsche 911 GT3 with the front completely smashed in

Not really a breakdown but hey, I am trying hard here

No BF. Crashes aren't fair and have the potential to be tasteless. Let's keep an eye open and build a bit of a gallery of genuine breakdowns.

I do hope we find some!

Did you Chris? Sorry, I missed it.

I think we need pictures and to try and keep it bumped. However, if we don't get pics I suppose it's fair to assume the competition is all super-reliable!

Again, I apologise, but the difference here is I want us to post photos as evidence.

I've started leaving my phone on camera in the door pocket after I passed a new-ish looking Polo this morning on the M60 with a forlorn guy sat on the armco behind. I was past him before I realised the opportunity and got the thing onto camera-mode without swerving.

Re: The "Others Breakdown" Image Gallery

I know I said I wouldn't post crashes but this is funny because it is two nearly new BMWs and nobody seems hurt.

Stabilty control failure or just crap brakes - all road testers say the M3 brakes are a bit feeble for the car's performance so a mundane 330 must struggle to stop. This one did until it got on its roof.

It was not the fault of the blonde Z4 driver. Her car looked pretty well intact.

Ouch. That's the second smashed up beemer I've seen today. One of our business neighbours has smashed the side of his 640 in.

Re: The "Others Breakdown" Image Gallery

I'm really annoyed with myself. I've had the camera-phone ready and missed three opportunities this week! Too much auto-pilot and heavy traffic I guess!

M60 anti-clockwise again near J6 Sale - 56 or 57 plated Merc GL uber-wagon hazards all aglow.

A34 Cheadle - A black 07 Clio on the verge past John Lewis's exit in the morning. Mazda RX8 on the back of AA truck in the evening.

Re: The "Others Breakdown" Image Gallery

A bloke I work with has an Audi A6, and that broke down on him earlier this week. Apparently he was pulling accros a lane of busy traffic, and the engine just died. I think he needed a change of pants after.

Saw today a Hummer H2 sitting on the side of the road with the bonnet up whilst the owner/driver looking upset. I was driving so I couldn't take a snap, sorry!

RX8 being put onto the back of an AA recovery truck earlier this week. Unfortunately also saw a lovely red 156 in GTA trim being towed by a recovery truck.

Re: The "Others Breakdown" Image Gallery

I have realised just how hard it is on the motorway to pic up your phone and get a clear snap at speed and in traffic!

This week: 57-plate Merc E just sat in the inside lane, hazards aglow on the A555 near Poynton. It didn't even get to the hard shoulder!

I've also seen several different makes broken down on the M60 in the last week but missed the photo every time! Too scared I'll have an accident!

Re: The "Others Breakdown" Image Gallery

I saw a broken down Fiat multipla this afternoon. the poor woman was trying to push it off of the main road on her own. I couldn't stop to help as she was on the other carriageway.

Bound to be a Bosch crank sensor fault..
