Serious bit of Lancia history

I remember watching these Lancia LC2's on TV in Le Mans years ago.

Lanica are such a great marque and it pains me to see the way they are nowadays

Re: Serious bit of Lancia history

This car partly illustrates the problems Lancia gave themselves, as here they are making a sports racing car, and at the same time they were making the Integrale for the WRC. The two directions was too much, and showed the muddled thinking and conflicts that predominated at the time, not to mention the cost...whilst the production cars were increasingly losing direction..and customers.

Lovely car though

Yes, at least FIAT seem to concentrate on one thing at the time. It would be good to see a proper return somewhere other than F1 though at some point.

Re: Serious bit of Lancia history

I agree, but the only motorsport slot for Lancia is rallying, and in view of Lancia being the luxury marque, Fiat might want the rallying slot.

Ferrari = F1
Maserati = GT
Alfa =Saloons ( well i'm hoping they will again soon)

I think I'l go and have Abarth now
