maserati quattroporte for sale.

On the A5 near hinckley there is a very ordinary looking car sales
pitch, just a gravelled yard with a portakabin, but his stock is far from ordinary,in the past month he has had a maserati 3200,a 4200 and this week a lovely low miles 04 plate quattroporte for £35k.,not
the kind of stock you normally associate with this kind of establishment,I wouldnt be surprised if a main dealer is letting him
have these SOR,now they are out of warranty and do not wish to retail the older models.
Just a passing observation for a big Italian saloon these quattroportes
hold their value really well,(unlike the 166!)I heard on the radio that maserati had their
best year ever last year, and they are expanding production this
coming year, due to their vastly improved build quality.
Make a great upgrade from the 166,if you could afford the running
costs, apparentally the main downside to these earlier models is
the jerky paddleshift box,the new ones can be had fully auto.
They certainly have some road presence and the interior is beautifully
finished,so a hell of alot of car for the same as a new half decent
5 series!

I'm not sure I'd ever buy a £35k car from a portacabin!

Re: maserati quattroporte for sale.

Bazza you are so right,I 've bought my last two 166s' from JCS
Kegworth,Fiat main dealers and Alfa retailers, very good on warranty
work, now my f/l was £10k,quite a lot of money to me,any niggles sorted out immediately in their fully equipped workshop, courtesy
car thrown in.
Imagine turning up at the portakabin with some warranty work needing doing armed with say one of those virtually useless AA
warranties, where the maximum amount per claim is £1k, and virtually
everything is excluded.
If you had the money to buy a qp,there is only one way buy from a maserati dealership with a proper in house warranty,Imagine one of those going wrong!
I made the post because I have never seen exotic cars retailed
from such humble premises!
(Usually in gin palace style shorooms manned by men in armani suits.)

Re: maserati quattroporte for sale.

The maseratis have disappeared ,obviously he is just having them on
sor from a dealer,I would have thought the chances of selling 3 maseratis off a pitch like this in a matter of weeks are very slim,
anyway must keep an eye on the place, had a look at his stock on the way home ,mostly high miles late 3 series, all look like ex lease cars
to me.

Probably had them in as a halo effect on his business!

Re: maserati quattroporte for sale.

i do like the current QP but i love the previous one, especially with the 3.2 V8 engine, prices are circa 12k so tempting, but servicing is a bit high, would be a natural sucessor to my 166.
