Re: Lamborghini Gallardo: Test Drive Review
Oh yes mate, I really did enjoy all of it
PS: Now, how do I get off the high of driving one of those monsters? I had to go out tonight and work the GranSport (safely of course ) to try and get the Gallardo off my head

Re: Lamborghini Gallardo: Test Drive Review
Nah, that'd highjack the thread
Man, just offered a Gallardo Spyder from a guy leaving Japan for ¥19m. 1 year old, 6k km, black exterior, black/red interiors.
Aaaaaaaaaaaargh!

Re: Lamborghini Gallardo: Test Drive Review
¥19Mill
Ooooooooohhhh...so tempting! If you were to have a Gallardo Spyder for that price - which new I cant even guess yet; would you still be tempted to have the Masser GT...? Decisions decisions...
I dont know, for me as much as I LOVE the Gallardo Spyder, it would be a bit of a show car with less function and more onroad costs, maybe the M GT would be more functional, less akward and less of a show car with more subtle ellegance.
Besides...6K is minimal. Most probably a garage trophy perhaps...?

Re: Lamborghini Gallardo: Test Drive Review
He claims to have paid ¥28m new. Only ( ) issue is it's got just about 1 year worth of warranty.

Re: Lamborghini Gallardo: Test Drive Review
In terms of warranty, how much or can you renew that...? And how problematic are the cars themselves if it did run out of warranty, not that I would imagine running such a monster without it though, its a highly tuned machine and therefore would require delicate care and attention.
28mil new...thats a nice swath of bills to unfold and depart with. 16mil sounds like a bargain, but you would have to weight that against warranty and what ever shaken you may need to pay later. How much shaken would you think the exotic cars normal front up when its that time of year...more, less...?
Myself, I would take it for a test drive and see what its like...worth a tour thats for sure.

Re: Lamborghini Gallardo: Test Drive Review
No mate, it's a private sale and I don't want to waste him time. I think 19 big ones are a good price for this beast and it's likely to have been driven around town only but still, too much for my wife to agree to

A young Australian guy at my gym drives a black Gallardo spider - gorgous car, but he's such a stuck up jerk (only foreigner at the club that isn't cool), that I now associate the car with stuck up jerks and probably could never see myself getting one!....

Re: Lamborghini Gallardo: Test Drive Review
A young Ausy in Japan...with Gallado Spider? How does work out...? 98% of foreigners I know in Japan that are not expats are English teachers and even then, thats not my crowd. Must be a VERY talented lad to earn that salary here in J-Land.

No doubt he's talented - he's a very successful trader. Just not very popular at the gym due to his personality....

Re: Lamborghini Gallardo: Test Drive Review
yes I can relate to that, some the chaps I know are much like that...and become worse when they hang out with other chaps with a similar disposition...I HATE it, as if we dont already have enough probs in the world with elitist buggers like that. The crowd I associate with are a very different breed of peoples...we have the money, but we dont act, display or franchise our attitudes towards others about it. And we certainly dont display our toys in that kind of manner either...
