Re: Audi product placement gone silly
But really
I'd never buy a £80k (is it?) car associated to a comic book character. Really ...

I like the R8 but I'd never own one - there are other cars that I like more.

Re: Audi product placement gone silly
Thanks BF - the thing looks ok for a couple of minutes but is not special enough to spend 80K on.
Buy a run-around for everyday use and a lambo as the weekend toy.

Re: Audi product placement gone silly
Don't Audi own Lambo anyway - so in effect you'd be driving an Audi anyway if you get a Lambo...
In fact it's actually a VW you'd be driving...
BTW, drove an Lambo Gallardo (sp?) once - wasn't impressed - overpriced and no sense of speed or excitement.

Re: Audi product placement gone silly
They do own lambo but its the italian influence that make the lambo a bit more special.

Really?
Seems odd. I'll try to get a test drive in one soon and will report back.

Re: Audi product placement gone silly
Think mojo must have ice running through his veins cos I would probably keel over at the thought of test driving a lambo, either that or his job is test pilot for Willams F1.

Re: Audi product placement gone silly
I'm beging to dislike the Audi brand more and more. They go with one style and copy it the whole way through the range.

MiTo...147...Brera...159 you telling me Alfa don't then? It's branding, if you can look and insatntly say, "Oh thats an Audi", then they are advertising with the design. personally I'd have an Audi over a BMW anyday anDI've had both before, both were trouble but the Audi never let me down in a dangerous way.

As above, I can see the brera and the 159 but the rest not necessarily. At least Alfa change it up a bit though Audi take one style and run with it for everything.
Lol, I'd have a Beemer over a Audi anyday.

Re: Audi product placement gone silly
Audi used to be about understated elegance (OK, original Quattro apart) - now they are waaay too bling with those daft lights. So the product placement in the pic is probably about right.

Did you forget to release the handbrake??
I loved it: http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/other...ve-review.html (Lamborghini Gallardo: Test Drive Review)
Regarding the R8, now I've test driven it, I can't say I feel like Ironman, nor have developed a penchant for shiny metal armor.

Re: Audi product placement gone silly
Went to see the film last night... I worked on Audi's for 14 years and will always have a little place for them in my heart... but even I thought the Advertising was a bit blatant
Good film though for all that
