Re: New Lancia Delta *pics*

As far as I can see, the photoshop images, the mockup and, in all liklihood the actual car are based on the Fiat Bravo. For me, this is a good thing .

It looks almost exactly like a Bravo and it would stand to reason that Fiat would re-use it's platforms & other components across the range, VAG-style (Skoda > Seat > VW > Audi).

See here for (slightly) more: Lancia to re-enter UK in 2008 - What Car?, and here for quite a bit more:::ITALIASPEED::

I'm looking forward to it!

Re: New Lancia Delta *pics*

Very nice indeed. It's good to see more and more cars making it to production little changed from the concept.

If they do re-launch in the UK this year, I'll certainly be taking a look at my local dealer.

I hope that this is followed by a new saloon to replace the Thema. The 159 floorpan, mechanicals etc would be an excellent basis

Re: new lancia delta

Agreed!

Lancia have a loooooonnnng way to go in terms of re-establishing the marque beyond an awkward harchback that no-one will ever take a second glance or remember.

I need to look at a stratos just to purge this hateful design from my brain!!!

Re: new lancia delta

I think its harsh to call it ugly but then beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Does not stand up aginst the stunning looks of an Alfa 147 , Gt or 159 but I feel it has some appeal. If the grill was slimer and mounted lower it would imo look better, as it stands its an interesting alternative to a Focus.

Re: lancia delta

Terrible. Looks like they tried to put GT rear lights on the back and a grille from a Daewoo on the front.

Deport it!
