At last, somebody else is trying to re-introduce the Alfa wave! Sometimes I feel like a complete gob****e waving at other Alfa drivers who look at me like I am mildly insane

Can't remember the last time I got a wave returned....

Re: Introductions...

This is trundling along nicely...

I gave up the alfa wave after 3 or 4 months of weird looks...

Bad news is, you can scrap my original post, I have sold my Alfa

Re: Introductions...

Hi, Im Terry and I have a blue 156 2.0 TS. Normally my car does the daily treck between Andersonstown and the city centre. However it can be seen all over Co. Antrim and Down in the evening, trying to get the kids to sleep!
Just got it three weeks ago and already put 1.8k miles on it. Love it, love it, love it but I've got to get that 4th gear fixed.

Re: Introductions...

Hi Decky. It is hard to get it into and even harder to get it out of gear. I read a post on here that its a simple fix but I would rather get a mechanic to do it. I hear there is a specialist in Dunmurray.

Re: Introductions...

belfast is pretty good for mechanics, ive been to a few indys and theyve all done good work imo, mervyn stewart is the main dealer down in apollo road off the boucher, usual with dealers (i found anyway lol) - good work and very knowledgable but you will pay for it.

Re: Introductions...

Eurofix, is the specialist in Dunmurray,

I've never used them so can't say much more, but they've been mentioned here before, try a search.

I work around Kennedy Way so I'll keep am eye out for you Terry, (as long as you put some clothes on )

Re: Introductions...

Thanks Marksie. I found those posts and got the number. Do you work down blackstaff way? The name comes from many drunken strips as a teenager. Oh, that and one time my friends stole all my clothes while I was in Lady Dixon park.

Re: Introductions...

Sorry for the long delay in replay, but no. No spying or stalking, even if you see me down there. I'm only going to the dump, honest!
As for the 4th gear, it is going into Eurofix today. Let's hope they do a good job. What colour is your car? Is it red, red CEZ or something like that. Saw one on Friday at about 5.30, heading towards Curleys. I was waiting to get out of Asda and I beeped at it.

Re: Introductions...

Minariman, I actually did see the 155 as I was leaving. I assume it wasn't you driving as trying to do doughnuts in a yard that size is crazy.
Only sleggin!!!!
Can't wait to get mine back. I am trying to get it back to pristine condition. The gearbox was the first step.
