Re: All Ireland Italian Motor gathering. June 9th Cultra Transport Museum

Yup I'm in, and wouldn't mind being part of the display (provided a 155 and a 164 are welcome as display models). What time do you need to be there to be part of the display? I can see this being an early start (from Dublin )

Not Happy Re: All Ireland Italian Motor gathering. June 9th Cultra Transport Museum

How typical is my luck just before this show????

Heading home on the M2 on Monday and a huge lump of tar and stones fell off a motorway maintenance lorry, hit my car and cut a couple of big gashes out of the paintwork on the rear passenger wheelarch

I've had to take short term measures and just touch it up but the damage goes deep

Stu, can I have a strategic parking space please?

Re: All Ireland Italian Motor gathering. June 9th Cultra Transport Museum

terrible luck Glenda, hope you got his details

there are a few trees you could park beside, or we could all take it in turn to do some strategic leaning for you.

Thanks to :ieh: Jet2, I'm able to go now, although my baby isn't in show offable condition at the mo, so it'll be outside in the carpark ,

hope to see a few of youse there.

The gathering isn't about how well a vehicle looks. It's about all of us Italian enthusiasts getting together for one big meet so you have to bring the car in. Never worry about condition, you it don't you and that's all that counts.

Re: All Ireland Italian Motor gathering. June 9th Cultra Transport Museum

A bunch of us southeren folks are meeting up at the City North Hotel off the M1 at the Julianstown Exit, about 15 minutes from Dublin airport at about 9.30 if anyone else wants to meet up.

I'll be in the GTV6

Re: All Ireland Italian Motor gathering. June 9th Cultra Transport Museum

A few final details which may be helpful on the day

We will have a Kazeebo placed at the NIIMC area tomorrow were people can purchase half price ticket entry to the museum. The half price tickets can only be purchased from the NIIMC direct and not from the museum. Please remember this as you will end up having to pay full price when you get to the museum.
You will also be able to join the NIIMC there to.

Toilet facilities are at the entrance into the museum.

We hope to have a snack van paked for people who don't want to go into the museum.

We're hoping there will be a Meguiars stand attending.

And finally I'll apologise now to anyone whos name I might forget. I'm woefull at remembering names so please don't take offence, it's old age creeping in.

Oh and finally, finally. Bring plenty of sun tan lotion as weather predictions say it could be up to 25deg.

Look forward to seeing everyone.

Could you not tie one on the back of the car bike rack style and bring it along.
I was hoping to bring my Fiat 500 to but have no way to trailer it down.

Well I'm going from Navan and presuming it'll take ~2.5hrs to get there and I wanna get there between 10-10.30 I was planning on leaving my house @ just after 07:00.

I don't mind meeting up with fellow Alfisti somewhere along the way.

Glenda, you are not the only one.

I drove 220 miles from Stevenage to Donaghadee (via big shiny red boat from Liverpool) only to come unstuck 20 metres from the parking space outside my mum's house thanks to a neighbour who has installed a new rockery which meant I could no longer make the turn into her drive.

I spent most of today trying to re-stick the front bumper followed by Isopon, T-cut, and a couple of cosmo blue paint sticks; so aplologies if she's not quite pristine up front but it was the best I could do in the time available.
