Re: All Ireland Italian Motor gathering. June 9th Cultra Transport Museum

Event starts at 10.30 am until 16.00 or there abouts.

We were doing an interview for UTV this morning for our Clubs Fiat Panda racing the Orient Express to Istanbul www.panda-to-istanbul.co.uk/index.php I took the opportunity to plug this event. Grahame Little from UTV is going to see if UTV will cover the event in some way. Here's hoping. As RPM is part of UTV there might be a chance of a connection there. You never know.

Thanks Marksie, Sure you can pass your praise onto Sylvia at the Cultra show. She'll be greating everyone on the way into the show all being well.

The UTV thing won't be aired until next week sometime as they want to give it as much air time as possible.

Hey Decky,
Not got a plan worked out yet. You give me a time we would need to be heading from Newry at and I will go along with that. I might stick up a post in the general forum to see if some more Dubliners/Southerners are gonna join my drive up! Looking forward to this already!

my 308 GTS, a 360 Challange Stradale, Testarossa and 355 so far, but to be honest i have no real idea until the day. Others have been asked.

Main Fiat/Alfa Dealer Mervyn Stewarts have promised to bring along a new Alfa Spider, Brera and GT Blackline Special addition to. Well the Brera will probably be my own if I can talk the mate into bringing it for me.

Re: All Ireland Italian Motor gathering. June 9th Cultra Transport Museum

Just had an email from the Lancia club in Ireland who are coming along as well. And the Lambretta Club are hoping to make it to. Excellent.

If everyones comes who says they are coming we're over the 70 mark now and that's just the cars. No count on bikes etc yet.

You can convince me to bring it for you, tough dirty job but i'll suffer it if needs be

Anyway, I'll only be bringing 1 italian beauty (a 156) but hopefully the Porsche (1979 924) will be finished by then and if i can get the missus to drive the Alfa (dunno if i want that tbh) i'll bring the porsche too. Not quite a muscle car or a real rare classic but we can all sit about and marvel over how it ever managed to survive this long and is still going

Re: All Ireland Italian Motor gathering. June 9th Cultra Transport Museum

Get onto the M1 at Sprucefield and head for Belfast.

At the end of the M1 there's traffic lights and a lot of road works going on so be careful of the traffic.

DON'T turn off anywere, you are now on the "Westlink".

(You will pass through a set of lights about half a mile along the road but straight on at them).

At the end of the Westlink you will come to a large set of traffic lights and the road goes into 5 lanes, 3 on the left and 2 on the right. You move over to the right 2 lanes and Follow the signs for M3, City Airport (or George Best Airport) or Bangor, they are all going in the same direction.

Then it's a case of following the road again for Bangor. You will pass through Holywood and about 3 miles on from that will see a big sign for Cultra Folk and transport museum. We hope to have a sign up as well there.

Once you turn in you will see a carpark on your right and continue on past it (keeping it on your right). You will then see the road go over a little bridge and hopefully there will be 2 Fiat Pandas showing the way in. One of them being Sylvia "the worlds most travelled Fiat Panda".

Re: All Ireland Italian Motor gathering. June 9th Cultra Transport Museum

Hi all. Just had it confirmed that there will be an original Lancia Sratos Group 4 with full Alitalia livery coming to the event along with an original Fiat 131 Abarth. They are coming all the way from Tipperary. It's worth coming to the show just to see these let alone all the rest of the excellent vehicles that are going to be there.

There are also a few of the guys from Southern Ireland who are coming up on the Friday night and staying in B&B's so they can get there early on Sat.
