traded in a red Brera recently?

Hi Folks,
Has anyone traded in a red Brera recently here in NI - cracked sky roof - by any chance?
If so could you pm me if possible?
Thanks,
Joe

There's a chap on PH who reported a cracked sky roof on his 2.2, now sold, but he was in Buckinghamshire.

Thanks for the replies folks.
Not sure of the engine - didnt take it out for a spin (yet).
Not sure of the year either, was told one year (which doesnt tie in with the price) and the NI reg is a different year - so could be a uk import (or elsewhere) re-regged here.

Hence the asking for info. My old 156 is starting to look a bit tired now but I dont run it as much as I should so have considered doing a 'wheeler dealers' on it and bringing it back to a good condition as a project (2000 car but just approaching 70k miles). It was the first new car I ever bought and my friends say they will have to prise the keys from my cold dead hands despite running another car as well now.
Of course, thats until I saw the brera for sale ;-) A few things didnt add up though over a brief conversation which I might have misheard so was interested to see if there was a back story away from the seller.

There's a 3.2 Brera q4 been traded into Donnelly's with a cracked roof to be replaced. Red '07 car.

That'll be the one then.

They are hardly a common sight and Donnellys tend to have 0 in stock normally.

Thanks for the extra info, shouldve asked you at the time ;-)

I wasnt that interested at the time...

I need to spend a bit of money on the 156 to get it through MOT next year so might do that in the meantime. Saying that Im in Liverpool end of the month and Edinburgh next month so I might be coming home in a different car than I left with if I see a good 2.2!

Running costs for a 3.2 q4 would just be too high (on top of the dealer price) for a 2nd 'play' car in the current climate.

No Brera is for the fuel economy driven buyer unfortunately.

You'll be hard pushed to see 30mpg in a 2.2 and it needs a good push to make it move anywhere quickly.

I rarely saw 27mpg driving it properly.

Thats more what I was expecting, in the same sort of ballpark as my 156. I often do a run to the west coast and would expect to do it on one tank full, not two ;-)
