Heading out of Belfast and down the Stockmans Lane offslip I was in the left lane (left/straight on only) to turn left onto Stockmans Lane in the queue. Alfa came flying down the right hand lane (which is for straight on/right only) and stopped in the queue. Lights at the roundabout were red so all ok so far.

Lights changed to green and we all moved forward and lights changed back to red with Alfa at the front in lane 2 and a car in front of me in lane 1. Still ok so far.

Lights for traffic coming from the right to go on to Stockmans Way, the M1, etc change to green and Alfa muppet floors it through our red light and turns left up Stockmans Way nearly getting wiped by the traffic still coming through their green light from the right.

Even with all of this I still ended up behind him when he turned right into Malone House at Shaws Bridge.

Hard work never killed anyone.

That’s the trouble – I want to engage in something that has a little danger to it

I might get flamed for this but I would be on for everyone doing a driving test every 5 or 10 years, it would take the muppets off the road.

No it wouldn't - if these idiots managed to avoid driving like idiots first time they passed then they'll just do it again.

This is a sweeping generalisation, but you don't usually see Alfa owners driving like ****. This is another generalisation - its usually Passat/Golf TDi drivers. The most dengerous driving I see is on the Belfast bound slip way onto the M2 from Dunsilly roundabout. Drive down the slip road and there will be some VW driver over taking you on the way down the hill. Not what you need as you try and negotiate your way onto the motorway at 8 in the morning in heavy traffic. I'll give you a clue - I'm on the motorway slip road - there's only one place I'm going - across your path as you try and overtake and onto the M2! Have some manners.

Actually some of the worst driving I have ever witnessed was an alfa driver. Guy was doing 40-50 in the overtaking lane of the M1 with nothing in the slow lane. After sitting behind the guy and flashing I realized the 2 finger salute meant he wasnt moving so I went to undercut him...he moved to the middle of both lanes sending me onto the hard shoulder...so I floored it on the hard shoulder upto almost 90 and he floored it trying to force me into staying on the hard shoulder...I slow down he slows down, I speed up he speeds up. I cut him up so bad he almost lost control then slammed the anchors down enough to scare the crap outta him. I even went so far as to motion I was willing to pull over and he could say what he wanted to my face and Im quite happy to do that to anyone, I dont care what they drive or what kinda car superiority complex they have...although merc drivers are by far the worst.

Just because I dont drive like a maniac all the time doesnt mean to say I dont know how to and by and large I havent found alfa drivers to be any different than the usual herds on a monday morning. None of them have ever stayed in front of me for long.

i can back up this Alfa thing. I was on the M50 (Dublin) yesterday evening looking forward to the 200km drive to Galway when a lad in a black 156 GTA comes flooring it behind me (im in the slow lane!) no one is in the fast lane so undertakes me on the hard shoulder scared the living **** outta me!! now i must admit i wasnt in the best of moods yesterday and this retard got me angry, so i floored and caught up to him not far from my turnoff onto the M6 to Galway.... surprise surprise he turns aswell. hmmm i think. as we join onto the M4/M6 he floors it again and so do I, now i know this car was a GTA but he obviously was too afraid to max it out cause i caught up to him again "EDITED" reg number taken down and police called so 04-D-12*** go **** yourself!!!!
