Can anyone save this Cloverleaf from the big scrapyard in the sky?

I have a '97 145 Cloverleaf that has been offroad for around 2 yrs following an mot failure for inoperative abs and a headlight alignment issue.

I cant justify the time or money (at the moment) to get it back on the road but it would be great if someone else could take it on as a project and bring it back to life.

I had 5 years great driving from it and I am gutted to let it go!

A bit more info on the car

MOT issues:
- headlamp adjustment on one lamp
- abs brakes inoperative

The main issue at time of mot failure was that I couldnt find anyone in Northern Ireland who knew Alfa's and had the necessary diagnostic equipment to help trace the fault..... the main dealer could even reset an airbag warning light after I had the steering column replaced about 5 years ago %~#

Due to it sitting over the past 2 years i recon the brake lines would need renewed along with the tyres.

Modifications made to the car:
- Squadra tuning chip (to approx 160bhp) ** this is currently for sale on ebay **
- Powerflow s/s exhaust system.... cat back
- Upgraded brake discs front and rear
- changed seats and steering wheel (would like to keep these for my next project as they were bought by my other half)
- I had bought an uprated Fuel regulator but this was never fitted, still in original box

I am sorry to see this car go as it provided many happy miles and drove very well. Ideally it would become someones project but logistically being in Northern Ireland the number of interested parties is very limited.

If I have to break it for parts I will - but I will be gutted to do this.

Based on breaking the car for parts I recon I should be able to get at least £300 for various bits and pieces off it. So I would be looking for this as a complete car - the only issue would be the original seats would need refitted and a replacement steering wheel would be required.

To include the seats and steering wheel I would need £400

Re history (I am doing this off the top of my head) I purchased the car in 2002. It had 2 previous owners but little history. The belts and tensioners were changed in late 2004 / early 2005 and the car has been off the road since december 2007.

The car is currently kept in north Donegal as I didnt fancy storing it in Belfast.

I am sorry for this long winded reply but I wanted to give as much information as possible.

If you want any further info or photos please let me know.

Thanks,
Jon.

Further Info

Sorry I forgot to state in my earlier post that the registration number will be transferred off the vehicle prior to any sale taking place.

jonboy I work in Letterkenny would it be possible to arrange a look at the car, my knowledge is limited but just to get an idea on how much the project would set me back bringing the car back to show room condition?

Would it be possible for you to call over the weekend to see the car? If you are I will try to get the battery charged so that you can hear the car running.
