help lowering 156 (belfast area)

any suggestions?

cant justify £500+ for the gear and couple hundred more to fit.

second hand rig an option? anywhere can help me out?

I know a shop in Limerick that has (i think he still has... I'll check..) lowering springs reduced to clear. I can have a friend from down that way pick the springs up & I can get them for you... I also have a friend who's a mechanic living in Bray just in Co. Wicklow there who'll fit them for you alot cheaper than any garage will.

Let me know if that suits, I'll check if those springs are still available ASAP!

yeah, he still has the kits in stock, HR lowering springs for Alfa 156 - €80 for the set.
As for price of fitting I'm unsure, as i say, it's a friend mechanic i know who could do the fitting for you... not sure how much he'd charge, I'll give him a shout and see

Lowering springs on standard shocks will be a nightmare! You need to replace the shocks with something better, otherwise I just wouldn't bother.

all i can get ya is the lowering springs, can't get shocks or anything..
but if ya still want the springs and then ya can get the other bits yourself?

I was looking at these on ebay.

i know one guy who fitted those, happy so far some weeks later... worth considering

just had my lowering springs fitted on the 147 today, 2 of the lads & myself at it for a few hours, extremely happy with the results!
I'll post up pics in my progress thread in the next couple of days...
