Re: Northern Ireland Italian Motor Club

Starting from March, meetings will now be held on the "first Monday" of every month, still at the Tidy Doffer.

The Club is for Italian vehicle owners and enthusiasts to all get together under one banner.

Some of us in the Club go as far back as the N.I Alfa club some 10 years ago but found N.I is to small for one make clubs, hence we started the NIIMC some 5 years ago to cover ALL Italian makes, from cars to tractors.
We finished last year with 60 members. We also have a close working relationship with Mervyn Stewart Fiat/Alfa in Belfast and get special discount on parts and labour. They also try to look after members buying new/pre owned cars were they can.

There is a few NIIMC members on here to which being an Alfa owner myself I think is great to extend our Clubs connections to the forum as we are all supporters of the same thing.

Re: Northern Ireland Italian Motor Club

Are all the cars showpeices, or are some of the members cars general workhorses with the not-so-polished look about them? I have an old 146 and dont want to join in and feel the shame of having a dusty car in the lot. With a baby, a wife, 2 cars and a Kawasaki bike to contend with i dont have the time to make the old girl look good but would like to join the craic and join like minded people, and maybe get some mechanical tips from some boxer engined oily types!!

There are all sorts of cars: from Fiat Pandas and 126s right up to ferraris and everything in between. I'm the NI rep for AO (as you can see from my sig) and the secretary of NIIMC. There is a membership fee for NIIMC and I would encourage you to join as we have a number of member only benefits. If you want to come along and see how things work then our next meeting is on Monday 7th July at 7.45pm at Browns Bar and grill on the Boucher Road. You can also see what we get up to by checking out the website The NI Italian Motor Club

We, as a club, are going to Castlewellan on Saturday to show our cars at an event organised by the GTi Club here in NI. If you get the chance to give the 146 a quick wash and polish you should bring it along.
