Re: Mangoletsi

Thanks guys,

I will make a meet - depends on work diary, and when I get to move...

The cunning car plan is amoungst other things now severly broken - big mondeo company car - her car, panda little family runabout and my daily and porker - my toy. I may have to consider getting something bigger than the panda if I get to keep it - as it will be my only load lugger (or after she's had it away) so there is a car shaped hole in my life - mebbe back in a 156 - I could do a GTA methinks - but more sensibly a jtd. The porker is staying whatever happens and will make a meet.

Re: Mangoletsi

159 is a belter.....different beast to the 156 (unbelievable performance and economy) and its unfair to compare like with like. Just needed more space for the kids, more feel in the brakes and prefer a less hard ride. The 159 handling and grip is unreal.

BTW - the 156 had ARB links, both front wishbones sorted recently and all round Pzero Neros and was well cared for (except stone chips and slightly scuffed alloys which Mangos probably sorted for you). Use of Forte Diesel additive will stop egr valve from sooting. I avoided any crap fuel (Tescos etc) and it regularly drank V-Power Diesel and it loved BP Ultimate.

Only ever issue with the car was drive-shaft but these were replaced under warranty. Enjoy!!!

Hope to meet you all at the next boozer meet-up.

Re: Mangoletsi

I think that's because they fit genuine model parts to the correct model mate

It might fit but it would hardly be the done thing for a main dealer to fit a recon drive shaft off a 156 to a GT

You go to a main dealer to have a proper job done that's why it costs what it does

Re: Mangoletsi

Last November so you should be good for many a thousand miles. I am not sure if the issue is due to the huge torque going the shafts or the fact that the 2.4 is a heavy engine and under-damped on the 156 that caused the issue (the Ti has lowered sports suspension and it don't like potholes)
