Re: Lights and Chips

yeah let's go with that, 5pm at the tickle trout i vote we get a take out from the chippy and find somewhere to scoff them, but we can sit in if the weather's lousy. either way we should be cruising up the golden mile about 7pm in it's full glory

that'll be cool mate. tickle trout hotel is dead easy to find. from your neck of the woods go M62 to manchester, then up the m61. virtually as soon as the m61 joins the m6 you're at jct31 and the tickle trout is right there for all to see (although to get into the car park you have to kind of double back on yourself as it's a central reservation type road

Sounds good, then is it the scenic route around preston or back up the motorway? Judging by google maps the route through preston will bring us straight round to lytham. Sorry if this has been posted already I skipped to the end.

Re: Lights and Chips

As Al says, from the M6 follow the signs for Preston. On the roundabout there's a slip road called Preston New Road that takes you into the hotel.

Scenic might be the way to go as the M55 might be a bit chocka

the roads from preston to lytham aren't actually that good. preston is a bit of a sprawl and then it's just straight a-roads all the way to lytham. plus there's speed cameras everywhere. a more enjoyable route (and just as quick) is to carry on up the M6 and onto the M55 but come off at kirkham and go the back roads to lytham. i don't mind leading the convoy, i know it quite well up there
