Re: Introduction thread
Afternoon All
Let me introduce myself, names Steve, 33 and I live in Heysham next to the cemetery that is Morecambe! Work in Leyland (I think another NW member lives there?) Bought a 2003 147 2.0 Lusso 3dr about 2 weeks ago and I still cant get enough of it. Metallic Black paint, red leather inside is just the mutts to me.
Have loved Alfas ever since a mate of my dads bought a 1974 Spider 20 years ago and I helped him restore it back to running order. Always wanted to own an Alfa and now I do so I am over the moon!
I am coming to the Penrith meeting so hope to meet all those that are going, and to those who aren't going, hope to speak to you soon via the forum
Steve

Re: Introduction thread
Keith - I work at Enterprise (the curved building that used to be part of Leyland Motors) on Centurion way, near the Morrisons.
I have lived in Leyland for most of my life (apart from the last 6 years whilst I have been up here)
Happy Man - I am sure if I see a GTV cup I will be looking closely, they are stunning motors. I was looking for a GTV but couldnt find one in the time frame I had.
I needed a car really quickly as I used to have a beat up Citroen AX (stop laughing) and the clutch went , I got a new clutch and when I removed the gearbox and bell housing to get at the old one, the gearbox casing had a huge crack in it so I packed up the tools and phoned the scrap yard. A week later I was driving the 147!

Re: Introduction thread
HI All
My name is Duncan, 33 and I live in Bury, self employed plumber/tiler.
Final got my 147 3dr Lusso late February this year after looking for a over 18 months on and off was after a diesel but ended up with a 2l petrol, Black with leather seats.
Fell in love with Alfa's after one of my mates girlfriend had one as a company car about 6 years ago.
Do alot of long journey at weekends and its made them even more fun to do.
