cholondeley : is it cursed

well it seems that way to me , you have got to feel sorry for the organisers . once again the weather has spoit their weekend like last year and the year before . i was there yesterday and the rain although not too bad did slow the cars on track and me being damp all day did start getting a pain in the butt. my mate has just got home from todays event said it was a wash out. having said all that there is still some fine motors on show {not that many alfas this year} roll on next year when hopefully they will be blessed with better weather

Events in this country are just a lottery; organizers choose their date and hope for the best.

Based on previous recent years weather April looks good sand statistically June is the driest month but you would think there would be some decent weather in mid July.

Yes its a shame if they get many more years like this I guess it just wont happen as they wont be able to take the financial hit.

you could be right about the financial problems ,i was chatting to a trader at the show and he said friday was a nice day but there was hardly anybody there and the traders were mainly standing around chatting.

Didnt go this year due to the rain as when it rained last year there was no cover whatsoever. Every year I have been to Goodwood weather has been good but had it not been there is plenty of sheltering spots. Think CPOP organisers need to upgrade things for spectators so that there is cover available for the inevitable NW weather.

Sunday was indeed a washout. Saturday wasn't too bad in the afternoon.
But the firework concert on Saturday evening was great....a lovely summer evening.

We did have an AO stand but didn't have a huge turnout. (5 on Saturday, 6 on Sunday ~ thanks to all who did come )
I guess the fact that NAD was on the same weekend didn't help.

Certainly the reason I didn't get there......but not a major factor in CPOP's calculations I guess.......

I'm glad I didn't buy advance tickets. We planned to go on the Sunday but not in that weather.
