Come on lads, we all enjoyed Oulton Park. If you're up for this one I wanna see you there, cant argue with and Open Pit Lane for 99, its a bargain!

Mallory's not "quite" as testing as Oulton, though can be very quick. Gerards is a very long bend and can shred your outside tyres - and if you get it wrong spit you off onto the grass after which you pirouette back across the track to end up in the tyres on the inside.....

But get it right and you are on for a very quick run down to the Esses , then a big brake into the hairpin......clip the apex on Devil's Elbow and avoid the camber throwing you into the pit wall, take a breath and brake to set yourself up for Gerards again......

Short but can be fun!

i would love to try this out. i've not done a trackday before and i'd love to start, but i'm a bit scared of binning my everyday car. it's only on standard brakes, budget tyres and standard engine (apart from BMC CDA). To upgrade all of this, i'm looking at a bit more than 99 for a track day...

Mallory is a lovely track. I did a CRMC race meeting there once on a Moto Guzzi 750
Devil's elbow is scary

Alan mate you dont have to drive at full pelt just because you are on a track. If anything start off well within your limits and just gradually push yourself the more laps you do.

Hughesy I cant remember if you said or not but is there circuit tuition available on the day or do you not know yet?

true. i have been on a track before, but not in my car. i've been on Three Sisters in a Lambo Gallardo and a 911 Turbo, but you're not exactly allowed to "push it" and it's a fairly tight track.
i might give it a go, all being well that i have some spare cash, which isn't a vast luxury as of late.

yes there will be track tuition available but I don't know if you'll have to pay extra for it (probably will though)

Gaz - take me along and I'll give you track tuition.......

Though Mallory is a simple track - not too much to it, really.

Important question - is the cafe open? The Mallory breakfasts are legendary!

I`m up for a track day and have the same predicament as my alfa`s my everyday car.I took it onto Snetterton with the local alfa club but it was a parade and I was itching to go for it.....I dont know about Mallory but Snetterton does track days in nov/dec 25 for 20 mins.Thing is with the upcoming track developments taking place this might not happen this years but i`m sure motor sport vision do this offer elsewhere.

It's upto you how hard you drive the car. You don't have to try and kill it and tbh if your a good driver it shouldn't put too much strain on it anyway.

25 for 20 mins seems a bit expensive, over a pound a minute!! This is 99 and you could in theory have 8 hours of driving.
The more the merrier hope you decide to come along.

The cafe will be open
