Gt 3.2 24v

Has anyone traded/sold a 54 plate GT 3.2 to Bauer Millet recently? They have one for sale I may be interested in and I am just trying to gather some intelligence. Cheers.

I have just answered my own question. I think it may have been the one somejohn sold to them back in March.

Make sure they have sorted out the ashtray lid. It kept popping up whenever I went over a bump on the test drive. The sales guy (Steve, I think it was) said "they all do that", even though I had told him I was test driving a good few that weekend so was bound to find out that was utter rubbish.

They were offering to put 3 new tyres and a new MOT on it, so a good starting point, but when I questioned him about any movement on price he looked like i'd just asked him to perform some depraved act
Having said that he did indicate a small movement may be possible, and it's been almost 2 months since I looked at it so he may be a bit more flexible. Certainly worth trying your luck

Seemed like a sound motor (apart from the ashtray, which would have annoyed the hell out of me), and ended up a very close second on my list.

Yes, I'd forgotten about that.. The ash tray lid was a bit tempremental...!

There's a knack to getting it to stay down though, as I learnt very quickly. You have to give it a quick slam and sort of push the lid sideways as it goes down, then it won't pop back up for love nor money, even when you want it to...!

Defiantely worth asking them about that, it was the only GT I owned that did that, although I never used the ash tray so once I learnt how to get it ot stay down, it never bothered me..

Also, for what it's worth, their asking price has dropped by £1,000 since they first started advertising it, so that probably mroe than makes up for the coupel of months it's been with them.
