Post xmas/new year cruise.............with a touch of 7000rpm thrown in.

Right, if you're like me and need to escape the turkey/booze/rellies/telly & unwelcome visitors that masquerades as xmas bang i'm going to do what me and wifey did last year, only this year i thought i'd see if anyone else is up for it as well

The plan is a 130ish mile run around some of the most scenic and best driving roads in N Lancs & N Yorks, with a pub lunch stop at the The Highway Man Inn

Basic route is start at Broughton (junc 32 M6) longridge, waddington, slaidburn, easington, clapham, high bentham, ingleton, dent, kirby lonsdale (lunch), arkholme, caton, trough of bowland, dunsop bridge, longrige, broughton.

We will be doing it either 1st or 2nd week in jan, or possibly between xmas and new year, so if any one else fancies it i'll get Al to make it a stickie and i'll do a google map of the whole route.

Be there or be square ...come on you know you want too

Ps wifes, girl/boyfriends, significant others and even kids welcome

I think i'm gonna wait till my car is fixed and running 100% before i go on any long drives!
Would of been up for that, but don't think it wise to risk it with a dodgy car!
Have a good run though Pete.

Sounds great. Probably won't do the whole route as we'll be travelling from Lancaster, but would aim to join you somewhere around Bentham and dip out between Caton and Trough of Bowland (we live just off that road!).

Might see about joining this part way in - could possibly arrange a coffee-stop at the Moorcock Inn on Waddington Fell - my Stepson runs it......

Or others from the East Lancs / W Yorks area could just use it as a meet point - there's a big car park......

Can probably make most dates - though I'm likely doing a trip up to Scotland sometime between Xmas and New Year.....

There was no insult to Mrs roeburndale, as for the 'shoes' wifey loves shoes and handbags, if we encourage her to buy new pairs with matching accessories it sends him into financial despair.
