Well I reckon it's about time we had a meet don't you folks?

It's been a while since we've had an AONW 'family' day out so let's go for the Saturday on bank holiday weekend for this one and bring all the wives & kids etc along New venue this time as well - the Aviation Viewing Park at Manchester Airport where we can see all the planes coming and going at close range. Yeah I know, very nerdy but it's a good day out, honest

http://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/m...nt/ViewingPark

Full info on the link but there's plenty to see there as well as a souvenir shop full of stuff for the kids. Entry is £4 for a car and driver, then £1 for each passenger. They also do guided tours on CONCORDE - check out the times etc

I reckon we go for an early afternoon start, maybe 2pm, ***NOTICE - NOW MEETING AT 4PM*** then we can all have an early tea at a really nice pub called the Romper just round the corner from the viewing park:

So who's up for it then?

Re: Planes, no trains, but lots of automobiles

you all know how good the little twinny is after it mysteriously kept up with the GTA duo. HM il give you a run for your money on the twisty stuff (providing its not raining )

if its wet, that thing doesnt like me and i dont like it

anyways i have stuck myself down as a 'yes' but as mentioned i will have to meet everyone later on.

Re: Planes, no trains, but lots of automobiles

i was surprised how quick nigel up north's spider twinny was on the way down to auto italia, even from a standing start from the m6 toll booth there was virtually nothing to separate his and mine and i was giving it the full 100%

dammit. must tell ghosty HE cooked MY brakes!

why didnt i think of that.

AL all the 2s seem to be about the same me thinks, i was chasing Roswell in his JTS and he couldnt get away, might have had something to do with the fact he had nobody to follow and therefor no braking points etc but still a bloody good laff
