I'm sure you'll be extra careful with your precious cargo in situ.
No bangs or crashes on this run I hope.
Remember the 155 at Penrith?
So what does roeburndale do with ladies hosiery?
Could it have anything to do with:
Funny Girls - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ??

Re: Planes, no trains, but lots of automobiles
Unfortunately I have a problem with my steering at the mo (rod ends?) and my car doesn't feel safe enough to take on any kind of journey apart from pootling to work and back so I won't be coming to this meet
Payday is next week so hopefully I'll be back up and running for the next meet.
The only other option is to turn up in my mate's courtesy car which, embarrassingly, turns out to be a Ka (the shame of it!)
Anyone else had problems with their rod ends?...

Surely it has two ends, only one of which is attached?

Re: Planes, no trains, but lots of automobiles
How about, a base and a tip then?
It should have a flange then slightly flared, rounded tip.
That's to prevent the gudgeon from sliding to far up the shaft and coming off at the end!! A disaster, the flange aids reciprocal movement (in this case up and down the shaft) allowing any buildup of fluid/contaminants to flow away from the shaft preventing heat build-up and potential damage.
