Re: Pagent of Power

Not a problem Guys,

£25each is a wodge of cash for anyone these days, especially after having to line the governments pockets on an evo triangle run. I have the advantge of only needing one ticket

It's not hugely overpriced if the event is delviered as planned - I was looking at the goodwood fos/revival tickets they are £47 a day! it's the same price as a day at touring cars.

I'm still expecting to go, so If I run into anyone Say hello!

Re: Pagent of Power

Simes are you still going to this?

I thought the tickets were £30 per day, or £50 each for 2 days, which does make it rather expensive IMHO.

Still, it looks like it will be a fun event...

Re: Pagent of Power

I went, but it was a freebie courtesy of the Ducati Owners Club. If I'd had to pay £50 I doubt I would have gone. But I have to say it was a cracking weekend. There was some amazing machinery on display and also blatting up the Sprint track. I'm definately going next year and after attending this one I'd be prepared to cough up the dosh too. The organisers have a 10 year plan to grow it into the Goodwood of the North, and I would say they have made a good start down that road. I overheard one of the racers saying the track was better than Goodwood. They certainly have the setting, the castle & grounds are lovely.

Strange that although Alfa were a "featured" marque, there was no owners club stand or any official Alfa presence that I could see. There were however some fantastic old Alfas. The other featured marque, Bentley, was all over the place with massive hospitality suites, special grandstands for watching the sprints & parade laps.

I've got some photo's I'll post up when I've had a chance to sort through them. It was getting silly, there was so much mechanical eye candy there, I ended up forgetting to take pictures of some stuff!
