How I envy HM in his lickle tug boat. Nearly floated home down the M61.
M60 Not much better and that's well known for aquaplaning in the morning dew.

what a farce of a journey home - thought i'd do the m65 to blackburn then over grane road toward haslingden, home in 20 mins i thought. nope - grane road shut. never mind, let's try the A56 accrington by pass toward rossendale. nope - shut. tried following diversion signs in the pitch dark and torrential rain, took me right round the bloody houses, then mrs al textx me saying we need bread & milk so had to stop off at the 24h tesco. eventually took me an hour to get home instead of 20 minutes

@jim - yep should've followed you home through bolton

weather was atrocious on M6, was down to 20 at one point with wipers on full, still had pricks in mondeos screaming past.Took me an hour and 20 to get back to morecambe!
Still anyway, was a good night, good to meet new people and pink gin Rik's facelift 3.2 was very smart

I LOST YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!! was looking forward to a blast and then HM and the blue GT went one way and i ended up following the silver 156 in turning left. Gutted. not to worry anyway i had a good night was good to put faces to names. looking forward to the next one already, just hope the sun shines next time!!!

you turned the right way then gaz - we turned left again after bob's smithy pub and ended up in the dry under the M65 just west of blackburn - scott in the silver 156 was wondering where you got to, have to say i'm slightly relieved to hear you got home safe and hadn't aquaplaned into a hedge somewhere

anyway, who was the girl with you - not your missus obviously - girlfriend? sister? somebody else's missus??
