OK playmates... as you will know HM has fiddled his tax return again and is jetting off to the tropics with the money he's swindled, so in his absence he's been kind (foolish? ) enough to put me in charge for a couple of weeks...

And it's about time we had a meet n'est ce pas?

New location this time (fine suggestion, Simes ) - the Blundell Arms in Horwich, near Bolton - Chorley Old Road, Horwich BL6 6PY

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?source...num=1&ct=title

the above is a map linky, dunno how to get it to show up as 'map link' though, HM care to edit it for me???

Really nice pub, good food, plenty of parking, amazing views on a clear day over manchester, cheshire and out to southport, and of course some cracking driving roads up on the west pennine moors all within a couple of minutes' drive

So who's coming then?
RSVP'd Yes: 8

Re: AONW May monthly meet

Don't be so harsh on yourself.

You rounded up a good get-together, everyone who said they would come turned up, there was a table despite them being really busy, and we got fed eventually and the atmosphere was very convivial. Not bad for a novice, mate.

Great to meet you all as has been said good food, good company, excellent tour of the local 'beauty spots' really good fun - that women sure did know how to smoke a cigar! As the advert says 'a hamlet does something for a man'!

Cracking film, thought the branch the soldier ran into was more dangerous than the 'wolves'.
Glad you got the Alfa buzz. Those twinny GTVs do handle rather well.

You can't beat a couple of nice, fresh baps.

But getting back to the BBQ....
