Well I was wondering if we wanted to venture a little north of Manc this time rather than into deepest darkest cheshire - may encourage the yourkshire mob to attend?

Was thinking maybe somewhere in the oldham / wigan preston blackburn sort of block? any thoughts? There are some good roads on the west pennine moors and more than the occasional pub. one spot might be the boatyard in riley green (J3 of the M65) The Boat Yard - HOME

or the blundell arms in Horwich Blundell Arms - Horwich* Bolton* Greater Manchester


Failing that the cat&fiddle up above mac might be a good spot - although it's more of a bikers haunt...

and the stocks is a good fallback...

Problem with the snake/glossop area is that the rush at the end of the M67 is only just dying down around 7 and the drag into glossop is still a little busy - was thinking of staying close to the motorway network as well.

Blundell Arms would be good imo

yup blundell is good, food is excellent, beer not bad, good size
car park and best of all less than a mile from home, some great
roads too.

I'm watching

Blundel Arms.... sounds like a plan, might make my first meet, not to far from me, 30 mins if traffic's ok,

blundell arms is a good 'un - food is great and plenty of cracking roads round there.
