Time we had a meet: 16-01-2008

The casual BBQ at some kind of car show would be good, especially if we could sort out a few bits each so it all comes together rather than all doing our own thing - unless that's what the individual wants of course.

Taking it a half a step further. Admittedly it might be a bit harder on the logistics side (but maybe lower risk of food poisoning ) if we could rig up a camp fire or something to cook on and a couple of big saucepans we could take the Italian theme outdoors with a freshly made penne amatriciana/arrabiata or bologneses or something that just needs warming through, boil up water for the pasta, a bit of foccacia, some salad. Bliss.

If numbers are known you or me could easily knock up a batch of a simple sauce, someone get the bread, another the salad and Bob's your aunty. -er than a BBQ AO-stylee.

Now that sounds like a Top Idea

I've got a few Idea's for family days

Picnic in Tatton sounds is a nice local day out

and I've got a special event planned that I'm working really hard at getting off the ground

But I'll fill you all in on the night

anything involving food gets my nod of approval

can't wait 'til spring/summer when we can do this kinda stuff

I've a feeling this is going to be a great year
