Alloy wheel refurb
I dropped my 18" Q2 wheel in to PPS in Inverurie on Saturday. Hopefully they will be back as good as new in a few weeks!
I will post up some photies when I get them back....

I'll be interested to see this, my 2 front wheels are in a bad way. I may be cheaper trying to find some second hand wheels for sale though. Also, how is it taking them "a few weeks"?

I'm guessing that that is when he is next in Inverurie as he lives in the Western Isles?
Looking forward to seeing the results

My wheels were in a proper state originally before having them done by PPS and they're very nearly perfect now -still got a very slight 'dent' on the lip of one rim which used to be a sizable chunk before the refurb

How much are we talking per wheel?
is it based on rim size or damage?

Correct answer!
They are now ready to be collected but I would rather not risk a carrier. PPS do a lot of work for guys on the rigs so they are happy to "warehouse" the refurbed wheels for a few weeks.
A the moment it looks as if I will not be on the mainland until the 17th or 18th. Mind you, the 147 is currently our vehicle of choice to keep the Gt away from the potholes and flying stones. That red paint is really soft

It's based on size (both diameter and width). My 17" teledials were £45 each if that helps?

Its £55 per wheel at Finnese Coatings 18inch wheels but you also have to get the tyres taken of and put back on,plus balanced £12 so your looking nearly £70 a wheel

My local tyre service will take 4 tyres off and re-fit and balance for about £20 PPS are £45 + VAT for 18's but he may be willing to negotiate for cash up front
I didn't take "before pictures". They were just badly scuffed by the PO on the edge of the rim. I should have spotted this when I bought the car from Veloces but I was dazzled by the shiny red paint and the smell of nearly new leather

Some pictures of the refurbed wheels from PPS.
I would give them 10/10 for service but only 9/10 for finish. It is very good but not perfect. Probably close to as good as you would get with new wheels but I am a bit fussy and there is tiny bit of dust here and there (probaly unavoidable with electrostatic powder coating) and there is one very small pinhole. Still good
