Sunday Coffee and Bacon Run

As the nights are drawing in and we're not going to get the chance for an evening tootle in our motors I thought it might be a good idea to meet up on a Sunday and have coffee and bacon butties instead once a month.

There's load of nice country inns and restaurants up here that do Sunday breakfasts and its a chance to take to the roads before the cloth caps come out after noon.

Two places spring to mind.

The first is the Milton of Crathes, opposide Crathes Castle near Banchory. It's owned by a colleague of mine and has plenty of space for us to park up before heading off along Deeside or wherever the fancy takes us.

Neil has already said he'd love to have us.

So all that remains is to pick a date and for me to get back to him with some approximate numbers.....

Who's up for it - can I tentatively suggest the 26th??

The second potential venue would be Fennel restaurant in Inverurie - home of the V8 Breakfast. I'm waiting to hear back from them, so something for the future there.

Not sure about an exact time yet. Will probably be between 10 and 11.

Oh and partners / betters halfs/ significant others are welcome too .

Once I get a rough idea of numbers I will set a time so the Milton know what time to put the kettle on for

Ladies and Gents,

I cant tell you much at the moment but there will be slight change of location for our first bacon and coffee run...

Its all very hush hush at the moment, but hopefully we will have a most spectacular setting for our meet - its going to be something really special however!!

More news as I have it so bear with me. It wont be far from our original location at the Milton of Crathes however.

Time and date remain unchanged - Sun 26th Sept, 10.30 am - the more the merrier.

Sorry I cant tell you more at the moment!

Can we meet closer to the venue as well, I was really hoping for a clear blat over the cairn o'mount on a sunday morning rather than a cruise up the dual carriage way.

we don't do dual carriageways - we usually do the country roads along the south deeside road then over the Slug Road - last time we headed into Banchory then back along the roads at Garlogie - Skene etc.

No fun driving on the A90 - I do that every day to get to work
