Sorry you can't make it "unquestioned". There will be more though, going to try and get a few run/meets in the north this year. Think the next one will be north of Aberdeen though.

Took a wee run over the Cairn this afternoon, and although the sides of the road were still quite deep with snow, the road itself was totally clear. Never went as far as Banchory, so I'm hoping it's all ok up that way.

That's good - may be a bit more snow forecast for Friday, but we can see.

Hope to bring the GTV for a shakedown- managed to complete some of the servicing in the evenings. So far 8 sparks swapped (not as quick as I thought it would be), one old duff thermostat removed and new one partially installed. Just need to tighten hoses and refill with coolant. Oil change and airfilter are next, then rear pads before a trip to a proper garage for the cambelt. Nothing broken yet (either the car or me), although if I bring it on Saturday I'll bring along some spare coolant....

Needed front discs due to corrosion with it sitting off the road for a while thats all, so not bad really.

Cairn o' Mount closed this morning due to drifting snow.

Just spent an hour stationary on the A90, which I think is now shut. Never seen the road so bad, like a skating rink with cars slithering everywhere, as nothing is gritted. It was backed up from the Auchenblae turn off up to Muchalls. Unless there is a rapid thaw before tomorrow am, I think we might struggle......

I think you're right. Weather forecast says cold overnight, but nae snow, although it's coming down like the clappers here, so Cairn O Mount and Slug Rd will be dodgy. Frustrating, as I finished my thermostat last night, and have a nice warm GTV to drive

What about Feb, or an evening meet?

The joys of staying in Scotland I'm afraid! We'll have an evening meet in next week or so and sort out a run from that. My problem is weekends off, I only get every 3rd one off.
