Bodyshop suggestions

I have got my hands on wing mirrors to replace the ones that were kindly kicked off a couple of weeks ago. One is in the same colour whilst the other is red.
Can anybody recommend a good well priced body shop to paint the mirror casing for me?

thanks

Re: Bodyshop suggestions

I've got a dent in the door I'm wanting soted so I went to a 3 bodyshop places for quotes. Not looked in the Woodside area though. Cheapest one was Watson's Autobody on Holland St. The guy seemed pretty reasonable and he was currently working on an Aston Martin so he must be well trusted!

Bought the car for a reduced price with a bash in the door. Looks like someone has just driven into it in the supermarket then bolted. The quote is for that dent and the rest of that side to get rid of door bashes etc. There is also a small mark on the other side where someone (with a red car as they were kind enough to leave some paint behind) has scraped it. Bastards these people who can't park a car.

Went to Autospray in Bridge of Don - £850, Reid's Autobody Repairs in Bridge of Don (works from a shed at the end of a wee lane) - £650 and Watson's Autobody - £500.

Think I'll need to wait a couple of months before I can afford it though! Got the cambelt etc to pay for and could do with a new key as well!

It's the black key with 3 buttons - Open, Lock and Boot.

Re: Bodyshop suggestions

Alexgee, get a cheapo airbrush, Machine Mart about £9, a canister of propellent, some flat colour, clear lacquer, bit of prep, and off you go. Much more controlled application than aerosols, for a good, cheap DIY jobbie.

Re: Bodyshop suggestions

I've got a nasty mark and small chip on the wheelarch from some careless bugger at supermarket car park. Silver paint marks across the rear offside wing (the smallish wing with fuel cap) so I could at least tell the colour of the offending drivers motor! he had obviously bolted by the time I came back. bloody ridiculous.

I've got the silver paint off but now ive taken some laqcuer away and its lost the shine.. also the chip I have painted over with some glossy black for now but it dont look good. Pain in the ass... If I could catch the bugger i'd hang im....

Might need to respray that wing, thankfully black should an easy colour to match, apart from ths mess the existing paint job is pretty decent still.

Is this place on woodside called Dave's?

To err is human, but you need an alfa to really screw things up!
