Wave Region Rep required

As we know Andrew has chosen to step down as Region Rep for at least a couple of months.

I'd like to thank Andrew for the work he did in starting off the AONS lounge.

If anybody is interested in having a go at the Region Rep position just PM me on the link below

Happy Man PM Linky

Please feel free to PM me even if you just want some more information on what's invloved.

Good luck
Tony

It was the same for the english administration during the 'Highland Clearances' mate. Don't worry I'm sure somebody will step in shortly.

Re: Region Rep required

FYI Frank

I asked about details on what is required of a rep some time ago,and by that i mean i was not automatically putting my name 4ward,but was interested.

That Q has not been answered, albeit Happy Man did PM me yesterday, but otherwise things have been very quiet.

I dont get the impression that any other members are putting there name 4ward,do we really need 1????????

Re: Region Rep required

If the N Scots lounge doesn't have a Rep how will you have Regular meetings and do the stuff we're doing in the rest of the UK

I'm sure there are enough of you up there that want to get involved in club meets and days out

With the right Rep there's no reason this can't be achived

I think this is where the main problem lies, there has been 3 official meets in the last year, there has been no more than 3 cars at each time

During these meets there has been at times, discussions on the forum but just dont get the numbers when it comes to a meet

That's exactly why we need a Rep up there and a strong one that can generate enough interest in the region to get more folk to attend meets.

We know that driving up there in winter isn't great and I hoped you would get some meets during the summer to make enough contacts to be able to do the stuff other Regions do in winter months.

We will find a suitable Rep

It's really the same problem for me too, plus the added difficulty of being in the military and not knowing what I'll be doing tomorrow let alone 2 months in the future. The stuff you hear about morale and the state off welfare in the press is definately true, If I wasn't so close to my 22 I'd walk out the door right now, but the pension is all I'm in for now.

I think though the problem with our region is not the people, but the geographics of the land, we are by far the most spread out colabiration of owners and covering from Perth to Johny Gs and Aberdoom to Fort Bill, it's just so difficult to get folk to shake hands.

Re: Region Rep required

Scotland is a big area, even for two reps to cover.

Re: Region Rep required

It's probably better to divide the area between 3 reps. Concentrate meets to smaller area's and (although less people in total) you might see more folk turn up due to favorable location.

1 for Inverness - Inverness to Huntly and the Grampians.

1 for Aberdeen - Huntly to Aberdeen, Peterhead and down to Stonehaven.

1 for Dundee - Dundee to Perth, upto Stonehaven.

Just an idea but I guess getting 3 reps would be a bit difficult.

I would do it for Aberdeen if my circumstances were better. At the moment I would struggle to organise stuff but I'll keep it in mind for the future if things change..

To err is human, but you need an alfa to really screw things up!
