Next Meet summer '08???

Any plans for a meet? How about a seaside day up here in the Costa Del Moray? Almost garenteed to have the best weather in Scotland on any day.

Sorry for the lateness getting back, been fairly busy with computers and dogs lately.

Anyway, regarding the next meet, i am fully open to suggestions and routes, also, i am always interested to hear feedback into what kind of meet's you want. Pub lunch/drink (non alcaholic), Run out, static etc. Please be open about what you want as this makes it easier for me to decide what to do next

I'm easy a bit of everything would be good a wee run a bite and bleather and anorak moment would be good

Lots of the twisties,dont do straight black stuff!

If you can fix jets Alex,looking at a map with a stop @ a pub has got to be a breeze

Well I have finally managed to get enough money together to tax my wee beasty so I should be able to make a meeting......unless its a huge distance. 17mpg of V-Power doesn't agree with my wallet

That's the beauty of Alfa's,they weren't designed to be cheap to own or run!

Any word on potential dates yet, as I have got a few trips offhsore coming up and don't wan't to miss a good excuse for blowing my monthly fuel budget in one day (or maybe 1 hour the way things are going )

i keep an eye on the thread for updates as would love a trip up north for a run!!! never really drove around the north

So, any ideas on what type of meet you want? It is finally summer so by rights it should be a run out but i am not very good at coming up with routes.

Seeing as nobody else has made a suggestion I would prefer early to mid july so either the weekend 5-6/7, 12-13/7 or 19-20/7. Thats my thoughts on dates.

How about somewhere huntly esq? Equedistant from aberdeen to elgin?

was thinking, head up to keith, then onto Elgin before turning south to dufftown and back to huntly or something, nice circular run? (my geography is awfull).

That route sounds like your on mainly main rd and very little twisties until you get nearer Dufftown!

If memory serves me well, there's a tourist railway from Huntly to Dufftown (Via distilleries of course). the road that runs parallel is quite nice, although it's been a couple of years

p.s. Just had a look. It's the A920 and there's lots of wee twisties around the area.

We took that road last time, it was very nice

I drove back from rockness festival through grantown-on-spey and dufftown and can vouch for that stretch of road as a great drive!

I'll try to make any meet if the date and times agree...

p.s 19-20th I can't make myself.. would preferably have it before or after.

I am potentially thinking the 12th or 13th, but i will need to make sure i have no dog shows or other comitments first.

howzabout the a93 down to blairgowrie , superb road, and plenty twisties ,iif the date suits i would join in ,Alan
