yes i remember the gtv at the postie car park and the 145 at mowden hall,sorry did,nt reply busy over christmas 12 hour shifts

By any remote chance was your 2.2 JTS Brera silver?

I'm sure I recall saying to you, " Don't leave it here......I'll nick it", not long after you got it, when it was parked next to my 145 in Morrison's (Morton Park) car park.......... Didn't you trade a Mini in to get it?

That was me alright! I remember it well.

I only had the Cooper S for six months and got that after spitting my dummy out following some truly apalling treatment from ARUK when I had the GT.

At the time I vowed never to buy another Alfa and never to set foot in Vardy's at Croft ever again. But then I got invited to the launch of the Brera and both promises went out of the window!

I had a similar experience with the aforementioned Reg Vardy Alfa at Croft Road and ARUK themselves were as helpful as an ashtray on a motorbike but thankfully the ever helpful "Jus" was the main Alfa Technician who sorted matters, after a protracted complaint to their General Manager.

Not sure if you know about BMC in Newton Aycliffe (where Jus now works), however I can thoroughly recommend them for any work you need doing (hopefully none) or servicing, etc - myself, Pud, Mr Orange, Roswell and Bri all use them in preference to a dealer and they're also a fraction of the cost.

On a separate matter, ARUK lent me a Brera 2.2JTS for a long weekend, which I took for the AONE drive out to Whitby, but to be honest, I was too concerned about damaging it to enjoy it and I didn't dare drive it in "Alfa fashion" (as will no doubt be verified by the others) and I had visions of them coming to collect it out of a ditch.
