2nd Great Experience with Benfield

BAck in March 2009 i wrote a rave review on Benfield after buying my MiTo 155 Veloce from there where i had my best car buying experience to date. Here i am nearly 3 years on having just bought a 60 Plate 170 JTDM-2 Giulietta Veloce from there and im happy to say theyve maintained that great level of service i had back in 2009. I believe the franchise had just been overhauled around 2009 and moved to Sheildfield so its great to see theyre still working hard to make sure customers drive away with a big smile.

As in 2009 i dealt with Jonathan Webb, a really nice lad who i have actually kept in contact with since buying the MiTo and it was his phone call that put me onto the Giulietta's they had just received. I had texted Jonathan in Novemeber just to give him an idea of what i was after in terms of spec and budget but after checking my current finance it was decided i would wait until this month to make the jump. Anyway i got a text saying there were 2 possible cars just in so after exchanging emails etc i dragged Claire down to have a look one night after hours. I decided on a Ghaccio white 170 JTDM as mentioned above with 18" horse shoe alloys and arranged the test drive. We went down after work one night and after being offered coffees etc had a good neb around the car and then went on the test drive which was great. Loved the car and was sold straight away, infact i was before driving it lol. Jonathan did his best to make the car a viable purchase and everything esle was sorted out swiftly. After sorting the insurance etc out and speaking to the finance company about the MiTo's return i had the problem of not having anywhere to keep both cars so i was over the moon when i was offered the chance to leave it there for a couple of days until i could have it collected or return it myself.
Anyway we arranged to pick the car up on the Tuesday last week and i was over the moon when the car was awaiting with the red cloth on, something im sure is normally only done for new cars... I had asked for it jokingly so it was a nice touch

After leaving the MiTo there for the couple of days i had been asked to take it to Manheim Auctions in Washington which turned out to be a bloody nightmare but while i left the Giulietta at Benfield Jonathan kindly had it cleaned and hoovered while we were away to my surprise.
I absolutely love the Giulietta and will hopefully have some nice pics of it up soon when ive give it a good old detail
Here it is in the showroom a few days after we test drove it.

So to conclude, it seems Benfield are still getting things right. The staff are all very nice and Jonathan has been brilliant once again throughout the process. I would like to think ive gained a friend since first buying the MiTo and now the Giulietta and would aslo say i can see myself continuing to buy cars from here for a while to come

Thanks for reading

Phil

Thanks so much Phil - very nice of you to spend the time telling people about us.

We are all very passionate about the brand and I think that makes the difference.

Thanks again

Very nice car Phil, and well done again Benfield.
Keep up the good work and maybe all dealers will learn to be as good.

Looks lovely, congrats. I was half looking at some of the 170JTDm Veloces there to replace the Bravo, but non seem to have the Tomtom port, which I would really want.

Thanks mate, isnt the port already there under the storage compartment on the dash? Ive popped mine open and can feel the prongs.... I'll investigate tomorrow

Nice motors those. I test drove the 1750tb cloverleaf on the day they came out, just happened to be driving past the alfa garage and blagged a free go. Love the retro interior and dna button which actually unleashes the spare gee gees from the engine. Just waiting for a lottery win now and i'll have one ;-)

I think it is an obvious port on the top of the dash. I have looked on autotrader nationally and there was 1 out of 200 with a port

Port in the glove box is a USB port which is standard on a Giulietta.

The Tom Tom Port on the dash is an £80 option which you fit a special Tom Tom unit into ( £300 ) and the system is much better than factory unit. You wont find early Giulietta's with this option though ...

Cheers
