Sunday Dinner Recommendations

I’m looking for somewhere nice to take my daughter for a proper Sunday dinner today.

Don’t mind a bit of a drive.

Suggestions please.

We went to The Dun Cow at Sedgefield. It was very nice if a little expensive.

Like this place, bit pricey but nice for special occasions and you can have a walk about in the countryside to build up an appetite for your roast beef !http://closehouse.co.uk/attachments/...yLunchMenu.pdf

They have a selection of roasts to choose from and are always happy to give plenty of extra veggies and lashings of thick gravy for us Northern boys!

+1 to that.

Or The Masham in Hartburn Village has always come up trumps for us on a Sunday.

And I hear that The Devonport in Middleton One Row are doing good things again since recently coming under new management.

Choices, choices (for next weekend)!

I was a regular at The Shorthorn in a former life. IMO their Sunday dinners aren't as good as the food on their regular menu.

The Anglers Arms at Weldon Bridge is really good if you are ever up this way.
They have an old Pullman railway carriage for silver service meals at night.
Pricey but special. Also....B&B is good. Ask for the flat.... sauna in the bathroom, seperatr livingroom and everything just £85 per night.
