Paint shop recommendations?

Chaps,

I'm after a good reasonably priced paint shop, not necessarily a bodyshop, just someone who can paint my front bumper and blend in the bonnet and wings........oh and maybe do something with my rear door too!!!!

Must be in the Newcastle area though!

Cheers.

Spray-tech (or tek) on chainbridge road did an excellent job on my bonnet last year, cheap as owt, well £450 quid less than benfield quoted anyway.

I just had my Spider bumper fixed, and the bonnet re-sprayed (horrendous stone chips), Jennings (Ford), Commercial Road South Shields did an excellent job. Perfect paint match, courteous service, brilliant.

Alexanders were to busy, and I wouldnt go near Benfield !! Complete Bonnet re-spray, stone chips and large dent on leading edge removed, £270. Looks fantastic now. Well worth it.

That seems quite cheap! I would easily expect much more than that.
Fantastic.

imh77,

Admittedly I do keep it in good nick but i've just bought myself another vehicle to try and keep the miles down on the Alfa anfd just fancied bringing the paintwork back to its former glory.......after all it is nearly 9 years old with 162,000 miles on the clock (now 163,000)!

Of the quotes i've had so far, non of them are really good:

Grosvenor Coachworks £800

Heaton Coachworks £800

North East Coachworks £600

B & A Coachworks £350 (remembering that cheapest isn't always best)

So i'm still searching and deciding!

Not sure whether its worth spending all of that money just to tart it up a bit?

As for the suspension, all it is is Eibach Sportline shocks (45mm lower) on the existing shocks.........£400 all in!

Thanks for the compliments by the way!

Still wondering if I should fork out nearly a grand to get the stone chips sorted on a car that isn't worth much more??????
