County Motors, Carlisle

Hi, I'm new to the forum and about to buy my first Alfa within the next couple of months. Great to see such an active community although it was only to be expected!

Glad to see the generally-positive feedback for both Alexanders and (recently) Benfield. Does anyone have a view on County Motors, for both sales and servicing?

I know that strictly-speaking it's not North East, but a lot of people think of Carlisle as being in the region, mainly due to the BBC including them in their TV region I reckon. Also it's about the same distance as Thornaby is from where I live.

Never heard a thing wrong with County Motors, but then I only know of Fraser that has used them.

In January, we decided to replace my wife's 75 LE with a "modern".
I phoned C.M for details of the then, not released Mito.
Usual salesperson's question....
"What car do you drive at the moment?"
Ans. " A 75"
"Oh, a Rover."

Used County Motors Carlisle for years, wife is picking up her Grande Punto Sporting tomorrow then I get the Alfa all to myself, bliss!

Tom Fleming I think that's the sales managers name offered AO an open night and car clinic a few months ago but sadly it was cancelled due to it being a night meet mid week and it was still a bit on the grim side weather wise so we couldn't get enough interest

county motors are a knowledgeable dealership, they have 2 excellent technicians, one i know how won european tech of the year award (or somethig very similar) he knows every thing about them having working on them since he left school...
They usually go out of there way to keep the customers happy.
My dads used them for years.
