The first ever Yorkshire Alfa Day will be held at The Yorkshire Air Museum in Elvington near York on Sunday 15th June.

Full details here

As Sunday 15th June is also Father's Day it's a perfect opportunity to bring the wives and bairns along too.

Update - Meeting Times & Places

I suggest we meet at The Talpore pub (TS17 6QB) overlooking The Tees Barrage at 9.00 - 9.15, have a leisurely cruise down the A19 and meet the Yorkshire & North West members at B&Q (YO10 3JA) just outside York at around 10.15 - 10.30.

At the recent Auto Italia event, we parked together and had a picnic/barbecue. I think it would be nice to do something similar again.

IMPORTANT – Barbecues will NOT be allowed!!

I’ve just been speaking to a guy at the air museum and have been told that barbecues will NOT be allowed as we’ll be parking in close proximity to the aircraft.

Re: AONE Run To Yorkshire Alfa Day

Guys 'n' gals, I mentioned this to the wife tonight and she said 'why don't we go then?' (I love it when a plan comes together!).

Thing is, after the babby has had his morning nap and been fed we probably can't get there until about 12.30.

Would getting there at that time be worth it?

Why don't you let the little 'un have a kip in the car on the way down and feed him when you get there?

I did think about that but the missus likes his morning snooze to be in his cot - 'it's his core sleep' - 'most important sleep of the day blah, blah, blah......etc, etc, etc.'.

However that is what we're now going to do as I've told her that getting there at 12.30ish will be too late!

I'll try and meet you lot at The Talpore by 9.15 but don't wait around for me.

Normally i'd be up for this, but lack of car and the impending day of dad worship rules it out! Hopefully be at a meet soon - not sure what in though.
