Paint/ Dent Repair in North east

My 159 was damaged yesterday while my wife had it at work by some **** lobbing a stone at it and it has left a dent with a scratch in it on the bonnet.
Anybody had any experience of a 'Chips Away' type company in the north east? Or better still any recommendations??

I know of a guy in the Teesside area who just does dents, someone else would have to paint it.

I know a fella (MIddlesbrough) who has a body shop. He recently did the bonnet on my GTA (respray) to get rid of stone chips. Did a good job and I know him well. Where in the NE are you?

I had a lad from Chips away out today and he says its beyond what they do as a repair so looks like a bonnet respray job. I'm off to Benfield Alfa tomorrow to get a price off them as my excess on insurance is only £100 with protected no-claims so may as well go down that route.

I'm in Newcastle as well btw

I know a decent couple of bodywork guys north of Newcastle, Seaton Deleval, Whitley bay and Ashington but be aware even with protected no claims the policy will increase next year (they're getting sneaky now

they've been sneaky for a while. I just shelled out £350 to get a dent repaired that someone knidly left and buggered of, rather than raise my insurance for the next five years.

Aye i thought they may sneakily increase the premium and of course if you go elsewhere you'd have to report a claim i imagine.
Got another couple of people to see but the wifes mates husband apparently works where i took the car today so he's gonna sort a cheaper quote out apparently. Fingers crossed anyway

I have also been hit ( car park job ) right on the passenger side rear bumper.
Now i think i can polish the scuff/mark out but i am left with a table spoon size dent in the black plastic.
Any easy cures people?...

There are a couple of canny places on St Michael's Road in Byker. The one nearest the MOT centre (can't remember the name but good guys) used to do all Benfield Railway Street's minor scrapes and dents till they were told to keep it in house.

i would like to get a few quotes for some damage i have on my car.

Its about 5 key type scratches all in one area and some minor dents on the drivers door - not massive but annoying in that they ruin the line of the car.

It was actually there when i bought it so iv factored in the fact it might cost a bit.

I asked in halfords and they said that it would cost too much through them as there were so many.

I was going to get in touch with dent devils and some of the other independent guys, but if someone has a mate or someone they reckon will do a top job on the dents and scratches then i would love to hear!

Try The Waxworks in Morpeth - although it is a waxoiling business, he has full bodyshop facilities and does a cracking job ( a few people on here have used him now and he's restoring my Giulia).

You couldn't tell me as well could you, I am in the Middlesbrough area? Have a largish (not a stone)chip out of the paintwork on my front bumper!!

I ended up going to spraytech in blaydon, done an excellent job, cheap as well as they do all our company fleet so did me a good deal

I got a quote from Alspray - just on Byker Bridge

the damage is failry significant - too much for halfords apparently.

Alspray seems to know what he is talking about and has quoted £300 for the whole drivers wing to be sanded, filled for bumps and then painted.

Im going to get on with the more urgent matters like Cambelts first but ill let you know if i get any better quotes.
