Hi,

Been a 147 (2.0 Selespeed - 53 plate) owner for a couple of years. Absolutely love the car!!!!

Just seems like everything is built around the driver, which makes it so fun to drive.

Anyway, just been in for 2nd servce (36k , 3yr service). Nearly fell through the floor at the cost of what the dealer/service dept 'recommended' and so realised I know absolutely nothing about whether they are genuine or whether they are trying to rip me off..... so joined here to get some advice.

Also, have a baby on the way! and was wondering if anyone has a 156/159 with family and gets on well with it. Not sure 147 will cut it for too long with boot size and being 3 door, when trying to use car seat and buggie etc.

Just got work where and how to post my questions now....

Hi Phil
Welcome to AO.
I ran a 156 Sportwagon when my son was born. It was just the job. The missis had a 145QV at the time and that was fine as well. The boot's a bit smaller on the 147, but you would be OK providing you find a buggy with a compact chassis. Just make sure you take the car along to the shop when you are buying and then you can make sure it all fits OK.
