Being doing some odd jobs on the car and wanted to sort out the remote boot unlock, as it's never worked since i've had the car.

Got a new three button case off ebay and took the old key apart, to find that the circuit board only has two switches for lock / unlock of the doors

Was wondering if anyone knew if this was standard or where to look to see if remote unlock is even possible..

Only ever had the one black three button key, has an immobiliser chip inside.

I saw that some of the rear badges swivelled to show a keyhole but mine doesn't.

Looks like the only option to open the boot is by the switch inside, which can be a pain sometimes.

Cheers for any advice!

I've got 2 keys for mine, both three button including remote boot release.
I too got a new case for one the keys from eBay and rebuilt it with the existing circuit board which definitely has 3 micro-switches for each button.
Presumably your key has been rebuilt/repaired at some point in the past using a circuit board without the remote boot switch?
Mine doesn't have a swivel badge either.
Perhaps these variations are dependent upon trim level? Mine's a Lusso...
Sorry, not helped much but good luck.

It sounds like it's been repaired with a 2 button board only thing to do is to get a three button key from eBay swap the board and get it re-coded at the dealer ££££ :(
Or pay for a new key at the dealer.

Did it look like there was a micro switch missing/broken off on the board? As thinking the 2 button boards where on the 156 and they don't have the same body computer so don't think it would work on the 147 but could be way off the mark.

Definitely a two button board in there, probably has been repaired or perhaps the case swapped out before.

There's a local guy who advertises on Ebay for diagnostic stuff, i guess he might be able to recode a new circuit board, will probably give him a try.

Put up with it for a year, so bit longer not going to hurt, thanks for the advice!
