Just a quickie. I have a frayed wire in the window regulator on my spider.
When operating it's a bit noisy, grinding sound. I've pulled door card off to diagnose thinking the runners were dirty, but no! Not something a bit of WD40 can sort,
Anyway, I'm having trouble finding one for the spider, all pages and eBay results seem to go to the GTV spider. So, my question is, is the regulator the same as on the brera??? If so, happy days, found for £115 if not, may have to phone the stealers as my local car stores don't sell them...
I would check with the dealers first. I know on my 159 when the front window winder went it cost about £280 and most of this was labour. It only cost about £100 for the mechanism.
I think that's what happened to mine when we had that deep freeze last week or week before.
Window drops an inch when I open door so was no way to avoid it! Although it didn't actually move it will have stressed the wire...
mine was going up and down but with difficulty, was parked in tesco llandudno and put it down with out thinking then it wouldnt come up. had to drag it up.
Guys,
I had the same problem on mine. Note the 159 has separate motor and regulator. The Brera is all one piece so buying a replacement will be motor and regulator.
Could you tell me where you found the Brera window regulator think Im going to need one, mine made a grinding noise this morning daren't touch it now .

Got mine off eBay.
Just search for "Brera window regulator" and several will come up. Ranging from £115-£130ish.
Think I bought mine from the regulator man, not sure. They are all pattern parts and very fiddly to fit. Took me and another AO member about 4 hours to fit and line up properly. So expect a garage to take about the same sort of time if you won't do it yourself.
