I had my Brera 2.2 remapped some time ago. The increase in BHP isn't that much (around 10) in my case but the engine seems much looser and better to drive now.
It's worth bearing in mind that the actual Alfa figures are usually very optimistic. The claimed 185bhp was actually 160bhp on my car, although I've heard this figure does vary from car to car.
I don't think it has affected mpg either way, I get around 24mpg in the Brera..

Well worth getting done.

Very interested in the Autodelta remap - can anyone else who's had it done confirm if it's completely removed the hesitation, or if it didn't get rid of it completely?

Can you let us know what the Autodelta remap cost?

Cheers,
Matt

Ferret, I do hope your hesitation has completely gone for good as there are others that have had a remap that performs well at first then slowly resumes normal Alfa service after a few weeks/ miles.
I had this with mine when I changed the Exhaust variator solenoid which in turn resets the ECU. Hesitation gone for a while then returned again.
Just recently I changed the tired battery for a new one and I disconnected it for about an hour. Has been OK since but I know its just a matter of time.
Before you mention it, no the cam chain is OK as the diags software is reporting the cam position as been within the expected range. If it was stretched then the exhaust cam would be retarded and the inlet advanced.
