when I'm pulling off in first gear it loses power sometimes i first thought it was in the wet but its also happened on a dry days too
i really don't know whats wrong with it....I'm sure its not normal its only started happening could it be the weather? or something more serious...
i was driving up my drive way which is a pretty steep slope and it died completely even in first it was not moving and the rev meter was at 0 this has never happened before
any replies are really appreciated
there is a light on for the airbag alright which I'm getting sorted this week but none other then that, the battery is in the car since i bought it at the beginning of this year, but it seems fine maybe i should change it?
also would the electrical fault show up on an ecu if its checked, because I'm getting that done tomorrow,
Assuming it's a pre-2001 petrol, not all diagnostic systems will work ... you'll need Examiner from an Alfa/Fiat dealer or someone with AlfaDiag or FiatECUScan/MultiECUScan on their laptop and a VAG_COM KKL lead.
Whether it shows the exact problem is still unclear but if the battery is good it should show something ...
But a duff battery can send spurious and incorrect codes too .... check the battery is holding charge with a simple multi-meter.
Check the spark plugs... Will have to change mine soon and sometimes it does just that, though in my case it doesn't completly "die", but the power loss is notorious.
Get the diagnostic people to read the codes stored on the ecu first, before replacing anything, it will give you the clues you need to sort it. So, yes is the answer to your question, there should be faults recorded.
